3-tier stock control system.

The innovative HT Warehouse system enables users to optimise the efficiency of their warehouse operation.

HT Warehouse maps out your warehouse and then subdivides the capacity into manageable sections, such as pallet capacity. What’s more, areas can be labelled so as to avoid cross contamination of incompatible goods such as acids and alkaline goods.
Warehouse racks are labelled and bar-coded; thus enabling operatives to view a virtual warehouse, allowing them to better manage incoming and outgoing stock.
The system uses a three stage process that helps the user to better organise and plan their warehouse operation, while ensuring that nothing is overlooked or misplaced.

Stage One: Goods In
  • Goods are received.
  • Delivery details are entered into the system and products are assigned an individual stock code, plus two other sub codes to assist with the picking process.
  • System designates a stock location.
  • Stock receipt is created.
  • Warehouse operatives are given the receipt to check off load. This can be done manually or via any Windows based handheld barcode scanner.
  • Receipt of goods is confirmed.

Benefits:

1. A full history is created, telling operatives when goods were received, who dealt with them and where they’re assigned.

2. The system is instantly updated upon receipt of goods – be it containers, pallets or boxes – and recalculates capacity.

Stage 2: Storage
  • Goods received are assigned either a numbered or bar-coded label. This label contains a unique code that corresponds to both the goods and the specific space within the warehouse where they will be stored.
  • The system can be tailored to the requirements of the user. Aisles can be segregated, set aside or zoned off as required.
  • The software calculates how long goods are stored and charges customers for the allocated space accordingly.

Benefits:

1. System calculates a fully auditable history of goods within the warehouse. 2. Stock levels, warehouse space and a complete job history are instantly available to operatives.

Stage 3: Picking, Loading and Dispatch
  • Containers, boxes or pallets ready for dispatch are identified and allocated for picking.
  • Pick lists are created and either printed out or uploaded to Windows based hand-held units.
  • The system enables users to subdivide and part-deliver consignments using parameters such as First In First Out (FIFO).
  • Human error is greatly reduced as operatives can only load what has been designated for picking.

Benefits:

1. HT Warehouse enables customers to keep track of their goods and how much potential space is left in the warehouse.

2. The software is designed to progress goods through each stage seamlessly, which as a result reduces the chance of human error.
