www.docsontheweb.com is a unique, online document and image sharing resource. The site, which is Username and Password protected, has been designed specifically to facilitate the sharing of image files over the Internet.
Administrators:
Each www.docsontheweb.com customer administers their own account and as an administrator they can:
- Upload an unlimited amount of images
- Create an unlimited amount of Users
- Make uploaded images available to as may or few users as required
- Broaden or Restrict a user’s search parameters
- View account information and statistics
Users
Accounts can be edited and new users added as and when required. Each user is given a Username & Password and their access to images can be directly controlled through their Username. This achieved by making the Username a filtration device in the initial image indexing process. Consequently, User 'Smith' will only ever be able to view images that have been indexed using 'Smith' in the specified filtration index field.
Once logged on users can then:
- Search for specific using up to five search criteria designated by the administrator, e.g. date, consignment number etc.
- Expand retrieved documents to view signatures etc.
- Print, Fax or E-mail one or all the images retrieved from a specific search.
- Contact the administrator via e-mail if they have issues.
